Lotte kindergarten
Opening of the new Lotte kindergarten in Kadriorg.
The Tallinn City Government opens 27. September the Lotte kindergarten in
Kadriorg.
Deputy Mayor of Tallinn Mihhail Kõlvart said the city center
is a fast-growing region, where the number of residents and children has
increased considerably in recent years, as of March 1, the city center has
61,947 inhabitants.
"The reconstruction and extension of the kindergarten
building started already in September last year. The total investment is
planned at 2.7 million euros, "said Kõlvart. "
The deadline for completion of the construction work is 31
July, and the kindergarten is ready to receive children this October."
There are separate play rooms, sleeping rooms and dressing rooms in the
kindergarten. Kindergarten has a kitchen and necessary facilities. Playgrounds,
pavilions and other necessary fixtures are planned for the playground.
In the kindergarten it is planned to open six groups for up
to 132 children.
I am allowed to take pictures of the opening of kindergarten
on 27. October at 2:00 pm. Upon opening, I plan to take 50-80 photos,
participate in the introductory tour and take pictures of new classrooms,
houses, teachers and opening event.
Post-production up to 1 hours.
All together, selecting images, processing, writing and
translating texts actually took 3 hours.
After taking a photos, the city government employee wanted
to get pictures right away, but I had to go to another job. If I had had a
computer with me, I could have done it right away and send it to her. I sent
the pictures two hours later and they did not use them in press realeases.
I learned that you have to come early to event. There was a
road construction and I had to drive around. When I arrived half an houer earlier,
there were no parking places left for others.
I think shooting was good, but I was lacking in courage. With
the strip cut, I made the image only of the politicians' backs when other
photographers crowded in the front row. For me it seemed rude to go there.
Old Project:
Parliament prayer breakfast.
In December, the 16th Christian prayer breakfast
will be given to members of the Estonian Parliament. This breakfast is one of
the few events in Estonia, where the dialogue between the representatives of
Christians and the secular state take place.
In Estonia, the state and the church are separated. Our current
president, Kersti Kaljulaid, refused to go to church to take the blessing of
her office, because she is as an atheist and did not want to give a false impression
of her beliefs.
The purpose of the meeting is to create a dialogue on
fundamental issues affecting Estonia, such as values, youth and the family.
The breakfast is an international event that takes place
worldwide in more than 160 countries, and every year in the European
Parliament. Besides Tallinn, more yearly dinners are served in several other
towns in Estonia.
The Estonian breakfast is organized by the Estonian
Evangelical Alliance and the Estonian Churches Council, organized by the pastor
Miguel Zayas, the clergyman Meego Remmel and organizer Triin Rait.
I'm going to portray the breakfast as a photographer who
wants to capture all the visitors and interest groups. I have received an
agreement from the organizer of the event to be an official photographer and I
am also allowed a small fee for the work done. It is my interest to look at the
participants and the reasons they are attending this event. Is participation
related to religiousness or public relations? What are the interests of
different parties? Were there a lot of people to whom invitations were sent and
did not come?
The event will be held in December on a Wednesday morning.
The event lasts for 1.5 hours. I plan to make about 65 pictures. Post-production
up to 1 hours.
